End of the Beta Phase: A Milestone for Cyber Proficiency Center

2024-11-20

We’re excited to announce that after five months of testing and development, the beta phase of the cp.center platform has officially concluded. The public beta, launched on June 7, transitioned into a fully operational platform as of November 16. While the journey of developing new features and expanding content continues, we take pride in the robust foundation we’ve built so far.

A Wealth of Content for Users

As of now, the platform offers 50 unique job profiles, spanning four critical areas of IT and cybersecurity:

  • Offensive Cybersecurity
  • Defensive Cybersecurity
  • Administration (Cloud, Network, Active Directory, Windows, Linux)
  • Software Development

Each profile is tailored to three skill levels — Entry, Regular, and Senior — ensuring suitability for a wide range of expertise.

This achievement is supported by 122 detailed categories, covering the most essential aspects of IT and cybersecurity. In total, users have access to an impressive 130,851 unique questions and tasks, providing unparalleled depth and variety.

  • Multiple choice
  • Categorization
  • True/False
  • Explain code
  • Vulnerable code analysis
  • Phishing recognition
  • Write code
  • Fix vulnerability
  • Azure Live Labs

All question and task formats are always scored fully automatically, delivering detailed evaluation reports within seconds of assessment completion.

Plans for Expanding Content

We’re committed to continuous growth, with ambitious plans to introduce profiles for additional job types. While expanding within our four core areas, we’ll also branch into other fields of IT. Some of the new profiles you can expect in the coming months include:

  • AI and Machine Learning
  • Big Data
  • Project Management
  • UX/UI
  • Mobile Application Development

To better support these areas, we will broaden our programming language offerings to include Scala, Rust, C/C++, and Go.

Azure Live Labs and New Formats

A significant focus in the coming months will be expanding tasks in the Azure Live Labs format, particularly for Windows and Linux systems. These labs offer hands-on, real-world scenarios that test candidates’ practical skills.

Looking ahead to next year, we’re also excited to introduce two new cybersecurity-focused practice formats and begin exploring the potential of AI-assessed open-ended questions, which will bring a new level of personalization and adaptability to our platform.

A Bright Future Ahead

The transition out of beta is just the beginning. With a rapidly growing library of content, innovative task formats, and plans for cutting-edge advancements, cp.center is set to remain a leader in IT and cybersecurity assessments. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to grow and refine our platform to meet the needs of professionals and organizations worldwide.

Thank you for being part of our journey so far — there’s much more to come!
